Dr. Babangida Ibrahim Babura, of the Department of Applied Mathematics, has been notified of his
appointment as an internal member of the University Governing Council, Federal University of
Technology, Babura.
A letter to Dr. Babangida, who is also Ag. Dean, School of Science and Information Technology, dated
4 th September, 2024, signed by the Registrar, Fatima Binta Mohammed, mni, said: “Pursuant to the
provision in the University Miscellaneous (amendment) Act 2003 and your subsequent election by
the University Senate at its 5 th Meeting held on 3 rd September, 2024, at the Vice Chancellor’s
Committee Room, I write to formally convey your appointment as the Senate Representative to the
Governing Council of the University. Your membership of the Governing Council takes effect from 3 rd
September, 2024 and unless by recall, resignation or the dissolution of the Council by the Visitor, the
appointment will last for four (4) years. While congratulating you on your appointment, it is hoped
that the University will benefit immensely from your wealth of experience, dedication, hard work
and selfless service. Please accept my congratulations.”
