On Friday, 22nd August 2025, the Jumu’ah Mosque of the Federal University of Technology, Babura, was commissioned. The mosque construction was initiated by Alhaji Abdu Shitu Babura and was completed and furnished by Alhaji Aminu Ayuba (Minus).

The Vice-Chancellor, Professor Sabo Ibrahim Birnin Kudu, attended the commissioning along with the Registrar, who was represented by the Deputy Registrar. The bursar, staff, students, and other members of the community were also in attendance.

The Imam gave the Friday sermon and led the congregation for the first Jumu’ah prayer at the mosque.
