The Director Academic Planning (DAP), Prof. Suleiman Yusuf Mudi and five others have been notified of their appointment as internal members of the University Governing Council, Federal University of Technology, Babura.
A letter to Prof. Mudi dated 11th July, 2024, signed by the Registrar, Fatima Binta Mohammed, mni, said: “Pursuant to the provision in the University Miscellaneous (amendment) Act 2003 and your subsequent election by the University Senate at its Maiden Meeting held on 8th May, 2023, at the Vice Chancellor’s Committee Room, I write to formally convey your appointment as the Senate Representative to the Governing Council of the University. Your membership of the Governing Council takes effect from 4th July, 2024 and unless by recall, resignation or the dissolution of the Council by the Visitor, the appointment will last for four (4) years. While congratulating you on your appointment, it is hoped that the University will benefit immensely from your wealth of experience, dedication, hard work and selfless service. Please accept my congratulations.”
As their separate letters also indicated, three other staff were similarly appointed as Senate Representatives. Meanwhile two more staff were appointed as Congregation Representatives to Council, subsequent upon their election in the Maiden Congregation meeting of 27th May, 2024. All appointments are on the same terms and tenure as earlier mentioned.
