The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) plans to establish a Jumuat Mosque at the Federal University of Technology Babura. This development was disclosed by Ustaz Dr. Aminu Haruna, representative of WAMY’s Country Director, during the foundation laying ceremony of the mosque on Friday, 14th February 2025, at FUTB’s permanent site, Kano Road, Babura.
Notable attendees at the event included the District Head of Babura, Alhaji Nataala Mustapha (Sarkin Bai Ringim), and Dr Babangida Babura, who represented the Vice Chancellor of FUTB.
WAMY’s initiatives focus on education, social welfare, healthcare, and disaster relief. They organize conferences, workshops, and youth camps to promote Islamic teachings and encourage young Muslims to become active citizens.
